Sticky Honey-Glazed Beef Ribs

Ingredients
For the Beef Ribs
1.5–2 kg (3–4.5 lb) beef short ribs or beef back ribs
1½ teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon chili flakes, optional
For the Sticky Honey Glaze
⅓ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1½ tablespoons rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon chili flakes, optional
For Garnish
Toasted sesame seeds
Sliced green onions
Thinly sliced red chili, optional
Instructions

  1. Season the Ribs
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
Pat the beef ribs dry with paper towels. Combine the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili flakes.
Rub the seasoning generously over all sides of the ribs.
  2. Slow-Cook the Beef
Place the ribs in a baking dish, bone-side down.
Pour about ½ cup of water or beef broth into the bottom of the dish.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 2½–3 hours, or until the beef is extremely tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
  3. Make the Honey Glaze
While the ribs are cooking, combine the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and chili flakes in a small saucepan.
Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce becomes thick and glossy.
  4. Glaze and Caramelize
Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully remove the foil.
Brush the ribs generously with the honey glaze.
Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and return the uncovered ribs to the oven for 10–15 minutes.
Brush with another layer of glaze and cook for an additional 3–5 minutes, until the ribs are deeply caramelized and beautifully glossy.
Watch them closely because the honey can burn quickly.
  5. Serve
Let the ribs rest for about 10 minutes.
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds, sliced green onions, and fresh red chili.
    Serve hot and enjoy!
The result: incredibly tender, juicy beef ribs coated in a rich, sticky honey glaze with a perfect sweet, savory, and slightly spicy flavor. The meat should be so tender that it practically falls apart with your fingers.
