Ingredients
2 racks of baby back ribs
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup BBQ sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Prepare the ribs
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels. - Season the ribs
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning generously all over the ribs. - Slow-cook the ribs
Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for about 2½–3 hours, until the meat is tender and nearly falling off the bone. - Make the BBQ glaze
Mix the BBQ sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar in a bowl. - Glaze the ribs
Carefully unwrap the ribs and brush them generously with the BBQ sauce mixture. Add small pieces of butter on top. - Caramelize
Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Return the ribs to the oven uncovered for about 10–15 minutes, until the sauce becomes sticky, glossy, and caramelized. - Slice and serve
Let the ribs rest for a few minutes. Slice between the bones and serve hot with crispy fries, coleslaw, baked beans, or your favorite BBQ sides.
🔥 Final Result
